Mays Dweiri

Mays Dweiri

Mays Dweiri is an Amman-based artist. She holds a BSc in Architecture and a MA in Animation from MoMe, Budapest, 2020. Through her art, Mays investigates the gentle connection between the idea of being and its stillness, fragility, and permanence. Since 2018, her work shifted towards working with simple materials, mainly with ink and fine hatch lines, creating multiple personal animations and artworks. Mays recently went back to painting with oil on canvas, the medium she finds most sensitive and expressive as she attempts to draw attention to body, presence, and posture, to intrigue a personal conversation between the viewer and the artwork.

Mais Alazab

Mais Alazab

Mais Alazab is a Jordanian architect and artist. Her ink inscriptions art represents an exploration of the surface space in a manner that veers between constrains of idealized geometrical orders and the beauty of imperfection as it emerges from the handwriting process. While the drawings are intentionally filled with well-curated content of poems and extracts from the Arabic literature, the words merely serve as repeated textural grains for intricate fabric-like surfaces. Both her design and art works have participated in many exhibitions in Jordan, Italy, Spain & the USA.
