Adnan Samman

Samman, a visual artist and musician from Hama, Syria started drawing and coloring everything he could put his hands on from the early age of 5. The artist stopped creating art at the age of 12 but that changed when he moved to Jordan and found himself seeking peace of mind by experimenting with colors, fonts and photos. One of his earliest works became a sensation on Tumblr, and that urged him to start sharing more of his work online. Currently, his work revolves around collage; mixing elements from different areas of art such as graphic design, photography and fashion. Last year, Samman was invited to showcase his work at the prestigious Central Saint Martins and Barbican Centre in London. Unfortunately, the collages that he made in his room here in Amman went on an exciting journey to London while he couldn”t personally attend the exhibition for Visa restrictions.
