Ali Almasri
Ali Almasri is a designer and multidisciplinary artist. His practices encompass experimentation with multiple media relating in particular to the Arabic culture. In 2014 he launched his own type foundry Abjad. He also co-founded Wajha, an independent social initiative that uses design and branding knowledge to help the community by offering design services free of charge. He currently resides in Amman to establish his own workshop and expand his type foundry. At the same time he’s interested in designing his own objects and products through utilising the Arabic letter as a form of identity in products such as furniture, ceramics, fabrics, tiles and others.
