Maria Al Zoubi
Maria is an emerging artist based in Melbourne. Born in Belarus, raised and married in Jordan where she had her two children, she then immigrated to Australia and pursued a career in art. She embraced this diversity that shaped her identity as an artist. Maria graduated from RMIT in 2017 and is currently a full-time practicing contemporary artist. Maria’s work revolves around finding a balance between chaos and order. She lets out a magnitude of energy with big strokes, blobs and colour madness, then finishes with a meditative affair of stripes and pattern. Her influence is mainly drawn from nature and its organic shapes and patterns, while the female identity is another frequent subject that she loves exploring.
