Art Quarantine

حجر فني

During quarantine, we invited Arab artists from across the world to come on our platform and give real-time workshops through Instagram’s live streaming feature. This series was compiled of short how-to tutorials focused on the making of crafts and art forms using average household items.⁣
We invited 14 artists from 5 countries to give 11 live workshops and 2 IGTV videos in 6 weeks!

The given workshops were the following:
Paper sculpture with sama, 3D paper collage with thebeardbasha, self portraiture with Laila Hajbi, origami with Yara Hindawi, square kufic script with Hind Al Ghamdi, kusudama paper lights with Raneem Qabatrus, puppet making with Sara Allan, arts & crafts for kids with Sima Najjar (Mama Sima), exquisite corpse with Nahla Tabbaa, ink techniques with Aya Abu Ghazaleh, mug marbling with Maha Hindi, customised wallpapers with Talar Tokajian, potato printing with Hannaa Hamdache and islamic patter stencils with Dina Malkawi.
